Let's see how to print an image on a napkin to use for decoupage works and various decorations.
The material we need is first of all the color printer, an A4-size acetate sheet, plain white napkins, adhesive tape, and, of course, the computer.
Cut the napkin in half and remove any embossed border leaving only 1-2 cm where the adhesive will be attached. The sheet measures 21x30 cm so the long side must be cut by approximately 28 cm and the short side must not exceed 19 cm. If the napkin is small as in my case, we will have about 16-17 cm. Place the adhesive around all edges, taking care to spread it as smooth as possible. Any wrinkles can cause the sheet to become dirty during printing.

Prepare an image file for printing. When positioning the images on the sheet, you must take into account the scroll wheels of the printer which tend to curl the napkin (see photo of the print). In the case of the Sèvres porcelain-style egg decoration, the design can be outlined to facilitate later cutting.

Put the acetate sheet with napkin on the printout and start the printing process. It is advisable to carefully follow the start of printing to ensure that the sheet begins to flow correctly.

The printing continues and in my printer you can see that in the places where the napkin curls the bottom gets dirty. It all depends on the printer you have available, you do what you can to have a design as clean as possible but, in this case, having more subjects on the same sheet, you can always choose the one that works best.
After printing, peel off the adhesive tape from the acetate sheet being careful not to tear the napkin.
Now remove the adhesive tape from the napkin, always gently so as not to tear it.
And here is our napkin ready to decorate eggs or for other decoupage jobs.
