To make a felt egg we need: drawing with approximate development of the surface of the egg; a sheet of felt about 22x14 cm; synthetic wadding for stuffing, about 10gr; needle and thread.
For decoration everyone can use what they prefer: rhinestones or hotfix studs, colors, fabric scraps, satin ribbons, threads of different kinds, buttons, brooches ....
By right-clicking on the image on the side, choose save image as to save it on your computer; then print it on an A4 sheet and cut out the design following the lines.
With this design the egg will be about 8 cm high, if you want it bigger or smaller scale the design before printing it.
After having cut out the shape from the cardboard, place it on the felt and, with a chalk, draw the outline; then cut out the felt leaving a margin of 4-5mm with respect to the internal edge of the chalk. Fold the first two elements one over the other and start sewing always following the inner edge of the line, as you can see in the photo.

When you reach the apex, fold the third element over the second and sew them together again following the inner edge of the line; it is not a continuous seam, the thread must be stopped on every two sides and starts from the next side. The last side, the one that is completely open, should only be sewn up to one third, or less, of the length. The seams are also repeated on the lower sides. When you reach the last side, sew here too up to a third of the length then stop the thread without cutting it. The more precise the seams are and follow the internal margins of the lines marked with chalk, the more precise the final result will be. Be careful, as we sew the chalk lines fade or erase.

Once the seams are finished, turn the cloth inside out, passing it through the side left open; the wire must also be passed on the external side; insert the padding and distribute it evenly inside, turn the edges inwards following the lines of the chalk even if, at this point, you no longer see them because they have remained inside. Sew the open side from the outside, with a cross stitch, stop the thread, let it pass for a few millimeters inside the cloth and cut.
