Knitted sleeves made with camel-colored three-ply wool yarn (just over 2 balls of yarn for each sleeve) using no.6 needles (work started with no.5 needles); the main process is the bolt (one needle straight one on the reverse), central decoration with interweaving of links (chain links-chain). The scheme used for the chain I got it from site vogue knitting, this is the link to the diagram.

Here I show you the procedure for making the sleeves and I explain some abbreviations of the scheme (in English) that could be difficult to understand. These sleeves were made to be applied to a jacket that I modified, the guide on the jacket can be seen in the sewing category or click here.abbreviations: straight D, purl R, M, knit (s), F row (s),Procedure: with ferrno n ° 5 I start 40 stitches and make 20 rows working one stitch on the right side and one on the reverse; at the 21st I change rows and I use the n ° 6 working it on the R, then the 22nd on the D and I also start the lateral increases (increase 2 M, one at the beginning and one at the end of the F); from the 23rd on then I start following the pattern for the central 20 M; continuing to follow the pattern for the central M, I increase a total of 20 M (2 every 4 F ... 22 nd 26 th, 30 th etc.), then up to F n ° 58 (in practice about the height of the elbow), at the end I have 60 M; I continue to work up to 94 th F, from 95 th I start the lowering of the armhole, 3 M drop at the beginning of the F and 3 more at the beginning of the next (96 th) so now I have 54 M; at 97 th and 98 th minus 2 and 2 hours 50 M; I continue dropping an M every F up to F 122th °, at this point I have 26 M left and I am on the 12th line of the diagram; the last rows work only D and R without the pattern in the center anymore: the 123th drop 5 M (21), the 124th again 5 (16), the 125th again 5 (11), the same 126th (6 ), 127th I close all the remaining links ... Finish.
Now let's see some of the abbreviations of the vogue knitting scheme.K stands for straight knit and P purl knit; cn is the auxiliary needle, RS is the front of the piece and WS is the back; RPC, LPC, these abbreviations refer to the displacements and intersections of the stitches, R right, L left, P purl stitch, C cross. These movements and crossings are always made when we are working on the right side of the work, that is on the odd row, that is when we are knitting the base stitches on the reverse. The abbreviations refer to the displacements of 1 or 2 purl stitches (P) which are on the right or left of the chain; RC and LC are found when we cross the 4 central links of the 2 chains and which are both knitted straight. In practice, when we move the Ms, if we have to put the M of the chain on the auxiliary F we keep the auxiliary F in front of the Fs, if instead we have to move the M of the base we keep the auxiliary F behind the F. When we have to cross the center (4 M of the chain) we put the M of the auxiliary needle behind on the first chain and in front on the second, at each repetition of the pattern (after 12 rows) we make sure that the intersections alternate ... once above and below. My translation is not quite literal, but it is a plain summary of the scheme. I apologize if to some the explanation may seem convoluted, have pity but try and it will be clearer.I forgot ... the total length for me is about 60cm and they are wide enough (to fit the jacket), but with different yarns or needles it can vary, so adapt the pattern to your measurements and the materials used.
